Canada Closes Embassy in Iran, Orders Diplomats Out

Canada has closed it’s embassy in an Iran and has issued an order for all Iranian diplomats to leave the country within 5 days. Foreign Minister John Baird has declared Iran as the biggest threat to global security for Canada at the present moment. His claim stems from the hostility delegated to Isreal and Iranian military assistance to the government of President Bashar al-Assad of Syria, and that Iran is a state sponsor of terrorism. Israel , a close ally of Canada, feels that Iran may be in development of an atomic bomb as a threat to their existence, and fear that this may come at a cost if it means that

Baird believes that Iran lacks moral care for their foreign diplomats following a protestor occurrence at the British embassy, and fears the same may occur at the Canadian Embassy. As a result, a closure is in place, and 17 Iranian diplomats in Canada have been instructed to leave. He believes that these actions will only help Canada in it’s fight against terrorism.
