New Immigration Process: Like from Dial Up to High Speed Internet
What follows in four separate blogs is a summary of some of the major changes involving four of the main stakeholders involved in the processing of immigrant and refugee applicants including Citizenship & Immigration Canada (CIC), Human Resources and Skills Development Canada (HRSDC), Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) and the Immigration and Refugee Board (IRB).
In short faster processing of refugee claimants, more expeditious removals of unfounded refugee claims and greater scrutiny and monitoring of Canada’s foreign worker program are clear value propositions and goals of the new regime. The new pace of the immigration process will be akin to moving from dial up to high speed internet. The need for effective and timely representation has never been greater.
