LunarFest, a two day festival, celebrates one of the oldest traditions for many Asian cultures – Lunar New Year. This year, the festival will be taking place from February 28th to March 1st, and will be hosted at the Habourfront Centre in Toronto. LunarFest presents contemporary expression in Asian arts and culture. “The Dragon of Glory” by the Jhuo Lan Dragon Dance Team is one of the performances that will be taking place during the festival. There are also activities that adults and children can take participate in, such as Fortune Telling and Dumpling Making competitions, along with many others. People who attend this festival have the option to submerse themselves in Asian cuisine and enjoy cultural delicacies such as dumplings.
