Federal Government Announces Bill C-60, the Removal of Serious Foreign Criminals Act
The Federal Government announced on 12 May 2015 Bill C-60, the Removal of Serious Foreign Criminals Act. This new legislation would amend the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act, making it easier and faster to remove certain foreign nationals and permanent residents who have engaged in criminality. These changes also further limit the record suspension region, rendering some migrants ineligible for a pardon.
