Let’s Go to The Ex!
The famously popular end-of-summer event, the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE), is quickly approaching! From August 21st to September 7th the CNE, also referred to as “The Ex”, will feature a variety of fair foods (which also includes different culinary concoctions), games, rides, shopping, animal petting zoos, live entertainment, and much more! This year, just like every other year, the 137th CNE will be hosted at the Exhibition Place.
Below are some interesting things to look out for this year at the CNE.
- On Friday, August 21st at 10:00AM there will be an opening ceremony to kick off the exhibition. For more information, please click here.
- The Food Truck Frenzy is back! From August 28th to August 30th there will be various trucks offering different culinary delights! For more information, please click here.
- The International Sand Sculpture Pairs Competition will take place daily in the Enercare Centre, located on the Exhibition grounds. Teams consisting of two people will have the opportunity to create a sand sculpture out of 20 tons of sand, competing for the Best Sand Sculpture award. For more information, please click here.
- On Labour Day weekend (September 5th-7th) the 66th annual Canadian International Air Show (CIAS) will occur between 12:00PM to 3:00PM. The CIAS soars over Lake Ontario featuring a variety of different aircrafts. For more information, please click here.
