On February 25 2016, The Honourable John McCallum, Minister of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship, introduced a series of proposed amendments to the current Citizenship Act. These aim to make the system more flexible, allowing qualified applicants to meet the requirements more easily, while also expediting the process.
