Beyond the Six: Day Trips Outside of Toronto

Posted by Fabiola Arevalo - Bellissimo Law Group PC

Summer is short, and we should make the most of it with every chance we get! Of course, the city is always buzzing with activities, festivals, street fairs, and events, but it’s also nice to explore its surroundings. So this season, expand your horizons and see all that the GTA has to offer. To get you started on your adventures, see below for a few fun ideas!

See the World through Lavender Coloured Glasses: If you’re a fan of all things calm and relaxing, then visiting a lavender farm will be the right thing for you! Located at just a short distance from Toronto, in Campbelleville, the Terre Bleu farms will be an experience to remember. If you are also looking for some treats, then their lavender-flavoured macaroons and ice cream will be the best way to end (or start) your trip. Pick Your Way to Better Fruit: Making a trip to the supermarket for fresh fruit isn’t the same as picking them from the tree! If you’re looking to fill your fruit basket or bake the perfect pie with the season’s ripest peaches, cherries, nectarines, and plums, then you should go for a little drive. Located in the Niagara region, Parkway Orchard offers the perfect variety for you to take home. For a full list and schedule of what’s in season, click here.

Get to the Grand Bend: In Canada, we’re lucky to be surrounded by plenty of water. Whether admiring the ocean on the East and West coasts, lounging by a river, or relaxing by the lake, there is always something nearby. One place that’s definitely worth making your way over to is the Grand Bend beach. Its blue waters are sure to be a treat! For more information, please click here.
