Canada is sending their largest-ever Winter Olympics delegation for 2018!

The Olympics will commence on Friday, February 9th in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The Canadian Olympic Committee is sending 225 athletes and 87 coaches! The team includes 122 men and 105 women. Ontario has the largest contingent of athletes with 68, followed by Alberta with 54 and Quebec with 50.

Canada is in a position to win a record number of medals in Pyeonchang, topping the previous mark of 26 in Vancouver in 2010. Canadians brought home 25 medals in 2014.

Here is the remaining breakdown of athletes by province and/or territory:

British Columbia: 30

Manitoba: 7

Saskatchewan: 7

Yukon: 3

Northwest Territories: 2

Nova Scotia: 2

Newfoundland and Labrador: 1

Prince Edward Island: 1

New Brunswick: 0

Nunavut: 0
