What to expect from your initial consultation with Mario D. Bellissimo
We endeavor to provide you with the best service possible in assisting you with your immigration matter. Our firm has a proven track record of successful immigration cases.
You will be meeting with Mario D. Bellissimo, a Certified Specialist by the Law Society of Upper Canada in the areas of Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Law, or a qualified member of his team depending on the type of matter you are coming to discuss. We take pride in our team approach to ensure we collect as much relevant information as possible to provide you with the best options.
Please note that if you retain us to help you with your immigration matter, the consultation fee of $175 will be deducted from your future legal fees. Deduction of the consultation fee applies only when you have retained us 7 calendar days from your initial consultation. Kindly note that the consultation, unless otherwise consented to, is specific to only one matter and additional fees apply to discuss further matters. There is no defined length of time for the consultation, but it will not exceed one hour. In your initial consultation, you may expect a preliminary review of issues and documents. Should you desire written legal opinions or full review of supporting documents, additional fees will apply. We are delighted that you have chosen to consult with our firm regarding your legal matter.
Once we have scheduled an appointment, an e-mail confirmation will be sent to you for both e-mail inquiry clients and phone-in inquiry clients.
If you are unable to attend your consultation on the scheduled date and time, please provide us with at least 48 hours notice of cancellation. If we receive at least 48 hours notice of cancellation, you are able to reschedule your appointment within 7 days. If you do not reschedule your appointment in 7 days, or if you do not provide us with 48 hours notice of cancellation, we will be unable to refund any fees that you have paid toward the consultation.
Please note that official photo identification must be presented prior to the consultation. Examples of valid photo identification include a driver’s license, passport, citizenship card, birth certificate, etc. The Law Society of Upper Canada (of which Mario Bellissimo and all our lawyers are members) requires that we have to verify the identity of all clients. These are part of the new rules for client identification as of December 31, 2008.
We offer payment plans to clients, again to ensure everyone has access to justice. We offer lump sum discounts to reward those who pay all at once. We accept most forms of payment including direct payment, VISA, AMEX, INTERAC, MASTERCARD etc. to make it as convenient as possible for our clients.
