Mario D. Bellissimo speaks to the Star about Conrad Black
Asked to comment last Friday July 23rd about Conrad Black’s immigration predicament, Mario Bellissimo was quoted as follows:
“It’s a very bizarre situation. He renounced his Canadian citizenship, was convicted, did jail-time . . . and that makes him automatically inadmissible into Canada.”
Even if Black has managed to retain permanent residency, he could face deportation based on convictions in the U.S., said Mr Bellissimo. “I haven’t seen anything like this before.”
