Online tool for the education of citizenship, civics and history

Citizenship Canada has recently announced the launch of an online resource tool that provides information for teachers, youths – anyone, with information on citizenship, civics and history.

The online resource, said Citizenship, Immigration and Multiculturalism Minister Jason Kenney, will help promote a solid understanding for all Canadians, not just newcomers. It will be particularly useful for teachers to help their students to settle in the country.

Kenney adds that a greater understanding of the country’s culture and history helps to unite all Canadians, whether they were born in Canada or have recently moved to Canada.

You can find the first module of the on-line resource, “A Fun Path to Learning – the teacher and youth web corner” at http://www.cic.gc.ca/learn.
