Provincial Nominee Program more inclusive to boost economy
A report released in February predicted a drastic shortage of skilled workers in Canada. To that end, Opportunities Ontario, also known as the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP), has broadened its requirements to allow for more applicants under the PNP program. Under the International Students category of the PNP program, PhD graduates from publicly-funded Ontario universities are now eligible to apply for the PNP program without a job offer- something that was not permitted before this month.
