The game, which was tied at 2-2, ended with Encarnacion’s 11th inning three-run home run, for a 5-2 win! This brings the Jays to face the Texas Rangers in Game 1 of ALDS today at 4:30 PM EST.  This series promises more drama! After all, it is a year after Jose Bautista’s legendary bat-flip against the Rangers in Game 5 of the 2015 division series. This is definitely a game you do not want to miss.

All this success early on in the year and new additions to the line-up raise hopes that they will claim a playoff spot and ultimately, the coveted 2016 championship title. For now, the Jays are the only Canadian team playing in the MLB. However, with talks to bring back the Expos to Montreal, the country may soon have a second squad to cheer for.
