No, the temperatures outside have (thankfully) not dropped to below-zero. Despite this, it’s certainly time to enjoy some fall and winter-appropriate treats. Read below for three deliciously Canadian foods and drinks to try this season:

1. Maple Syrup on Ice: we all know and love maple syrup –whether for breakfast on pancakes or waffles or as flavouring for our favourite latte. However, you can also have it on ice! The golden liquid becomes solid at lower temperatures to resemble a lollipop. It’s a sweet treat enjoyed by young and old alike.

2. Ice Wine: made from grapes that have been frozen on the vine, this is a great wine for desert. It’s particularly popular in Canada and is made prominently in the Niagara region. Cheers to that!

3. Beaver Tails: sure, this is a year-round snack, but it tastes that much sweeter in winter! With decadent toppings such as walnuts, chocolate, and caramel drizzled on top of a warm pastry, this treat will keep you warm on cool days.
