Go Jays Go!: The Toronto Blue Jays are now the ALDS winners after sweeping the Pesky Texas Rangers in three games!  The Blue Jays seem to be getting better and better and we are truly thankful for our Toronto team! Let’s go Blue Jays!

One of the Greatest Cities in the World!:  Toronto has been consistently ranked as one of the most liveable cities in the world. What is there not to love about Toronto – there is a lot of sightseeing that you can do as well as enjoy the multicultural events around the neighbourhood!

Brand New Neighborhoods:  The Pan Am Games are so last year, but we are finally reaping the awards from hosting because Canary District is finally up and running and is now home to an amazing YMCA, condos, rentals and numerous new restaurants! Be sure to check out the new and redesigned spots around the city!

Even more Bike Lanes!: Now there are even more bike lanes to enjoy around the city! Lower Bayview is in the midst of a biking revamp, and parts of North York are slated to get them too. According to a new poll, 70 per cent of Torontonians like bike lanes! Why not go for a relaxing bike ride to enjoy the beautiful scenery around Toronto!

The game, which was tied at 2-2, ended with Encarnacion’s 11th inning three-run home run, for a 5-2 win! This brings the Jays to face the Texas Rangers in Game 1 of ALDS today at 4:30 PM EST.  This series promises more drama! After all, it is a year after Jose Bautista’s legendary bat-flip against the Rangers in Game 5 of the 2015 division series. This is definitely a game you do not want to miss.

As the trees shake off the frost, and green blades of grass re-awaken, so too are the Toronto Blue Jays. In just a few short days, Toronto’s very own baseball team will be starting their 2016 season. With the first game set for April 3rd in Tampa Bay and the home opener in Toronto on April 8th, fans are starting to feel the excitement. After all, the Jays had a great post-season run in 2015 and many are ready to witness that once again.

In 2015, the Toronto Blue Jays, the only Canadian baseball team in the MLB, played their first playoff game in 22 years. This was a tremendously thrilling moment in 2015 as well as in Canadian history! It was recently announced that in honour of this, the Jays have been named the 2015 Canadian Press Team of the Year!

Along with this fantastic news comes an update regarding the Montreal Canadiens who took on the Boston Bruins at the 2016 Winter Classic. The Canadiens ended the Gillette Stadium-hosted game with a 5-1 win, with goals from David Desharnais, Paul Bryon (two), Brendan Gallagher and Max Pacioretty.

What an exciting first four days of 2016, we cannot wait to see what else is in store for the New Year, considering so much has happened already!

The Toronto Maple Leafs have laced their skates up and taped their hockey sticks. Join the Leafs back in action with the first puck drop of the 2015/2016 season, on October 7^th at 7:00PM. The Air Canada Centre will be hosting the season opener for the Toronto Maple Leafs who will be facing the Montreal Canadiens. Go Leafs Go!

Take me out to the ball game… Our Toronto Blue Jays are knocking it out of the park! Let’s take a moment to be proud of the Blue Jays as they have recently secured the team’s first playoff spot in 22 years!

Cheer on the Toronto Argonauts as they play the Ottawa Redblacks on Tuesday, October 6^th at 7:30PM. This is a game you do not want to miss, as both teams are competing for playoff positions in the Eastern Conference.

All this success early on in the year and new additions to the line-up raise hopes that they will claim a playoff spot and ultimately, the coveted 2016 championship title. For now, the Jays are the only Canadian team playing in the MLB. However, with talks to bring back the Expos to Montreal, the country may soon have a second squad to cheer for. Until then, it is up to the Blue Jays to make Canadians proud!
