]]> Though the Liberal government has not been in power for long, significant changes are already expected –as highlighted in Abbas Rana’s article for The Hills Times. Current citizenship requirements that were put in place by the Conservatives through the Citizenship Act will soon be changed. First on the Liberals’ list? Eliminating language requirements for citizenship applicants.

John McCallum, Minister of Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship, announced what he calls “radical” changes that will be put into effect. Even though we have some idea of how this will unfold and the reasons behind it, full details will be discussed at a later date.
