Camille Bontems

Camille graduated from the French J.D. program at the University of Ottawa in 2023 and is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Toronto. She is fluent in English and in French. Before arriving in Canada in 2019, Camille was enrolled with the Paris Bar in France and worked as an associate in an employment and labour law firm. While in law school, Camille volunteered with the immigration section of the Ottawa Integrated Legal Services Office, gaining exposure to immigration matters relating to asylum. She competed in the 2022 Immigration, Refugee, and Citizenship Law Moot and won the prize for top oralist. She was also a member of the Senior Board of the Ottawa Law Review, where she acted as Human Resources Manager.
Prior to joining Bellissimo Law Group, Camille worked as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Federal Court, where she gained experience in Canadian immigration law by working on judicial review cases relating notably to study permit applications, work permit applications, refugee status claims, and pre-removal risk assessment applications.
