Legal Research & Writing Manager
Jessica Templeman is a PhD candidate in the Socio-Legal Studies program at York University. She is also a Visiting Scholar at the Centre for Criminology and Sociolegal Studies at the University of Toronto. Ms. Templeman is currently in the process of completing research for her doctoral project, which broadly focuses on the nature of discretionary considerations of collateral consequences in Canadian criminal courts. This research has been funded by a SSHRC doctoral award. Most recently, she has been awarded the Canadian Journal of Law and Society article prize for her piece with Dr. Anna Pratt (Pratt, Anna & Jessica Templeman. (December 2018) “Jurisdiction, Sovereignties, and Akwesasne: Shiprider and the Re-Crafting of Canada-US Cross-Border Maritime Law Enforcement.” Canadian Journal of Law and Society 33.3). Ms. Templeman is currently the Manager of Legal Research & Writing at our firm.
