Beware of crooked immigration representatives

Canadian officials are warning people looking to immigrate to Canada not to fall for scams. Canada is now the second most popular destination for British expats to relocate and the high popularity is being exploited by scammers who target foreigners.

These scammers promise high-paying jobs and scholarships to study at Canadian universities. They also ask for outrageously high processing fees in exchange for a guaranteed visa.

Canadian officials are also warning people to watch out for fake websites that claim to be affiliated with the Government of Canada. Some of these sites ask you to provide personal information that could be used to steal your identity.
