Victoria Day is right around the corner, and for those you don’t know, Victoria Day is a federal Canadian public holiday celebrated on the last Monday preceding May 25, in honour of Queen Victoria’s birthday. This year it falls on Monday, May 21st, which means there is a long weekend ahead!

There is an annual tradition in Toronto on Victoria Day as we celebrate with mesmerizing displays of fireworks. Check out some options down below for the largest firework displays and other activities to try on Victoria Day 2018.

Ashbridges Bay has the largest display of fireworks, and is accessible from the downtown core. There are 2,000 fireworks that are blasted over a 14 minute period! Get there early as they start at 9:45 PM sharp on Monday, May 21st.

Boardwalk Place at Woodbine Beach starts their firework display at 10:00 PM and is slightly smaller than Ashbridges Bay.

Canada’s Wonderland also has a fireworks display starting at 10:00 PM as well if you feel like venturing out of the city.

Enjoy the celebrations and have a safe long weekend! Happy Victoria Day!
