CEO Approved under Intra-Company Category to Set Up His Company in Canada

We were retained by a company based in the UAE to assist with the transfer of its CEO to Canada. Upon defining a proper business structure, they registered an affiliate of the UAE company in Toronto. The Canadian affiliate was still at the start-up stage, and did not have any employees. The CEO wanted to come to Canada to set up the new company as soon as possible to expand their market reach in Ontario. After getting to know more about the business need and timelines of the expansion to the Canadian market, we suggested to proceed with an Intra-Company Transferee work permit application for the main applicant, an open work permit for his spouse and study permits for the children.

A well-crafted business plan was provided upon our review, with emphasis on the benefits the Canadian economy would have by launching the business as planned. It showed that the company would be able to create jobs for Canadians and/or permanent residents, which is significant for the economy. We requested expedited processing of the application, and are very happy that the applications for the whole family were approved within a month! The foreign worker is already in Canada, working towards launching the operation of the Canadian business.
