From Refusal to Success: Proof of Canadian Citizenship Granted

Our client’s application for a Proof of Canadian Citizenship, seeking a special exemption was initially refused by IRCC. We challenged the refusal before the Federal Court, and the matter was ultimately resolved without the need for a full hearing. Following that resolution, the citizenship application was returned to IRCC for reconsideration. Through an amended approach and some creative thinking, the application was ultimately successful. The client has now received Proof of Canadian citizenship. Some of the most satisfying results are those that require looking beyond the obvious path, reassessing options, and finding a lawful and practical way forward.
