Don’t get cheated by a crooked immigration consultant video
Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC) new ad campaign warning of fraudulent immigration consultants runs several times a day on television here in the Greater Toronto Area and has some bite. Frankly this at least in my experience is an unprecedented campaign and an important one to assist many individuals who are duped. On the CIC’ website though there is an error in the transcript that mistakenly refers to the fraudster as a lawyer. It reads:
Transcript for “Don’t get cheated by a crooked immigration consultant” Video
Video length: 30 seconds
OPEN ON CLOSE-UP OF WELL-DRESSED MAN, A RESPECTABLE LAWYER.
The issue I always worry about is the net being cast too far? Are applicants able to appreciate and identity that there are good representatives out there amidst the negative campaigning? Time will tell.
