Warning – CBSA Phone Scam Fraud

Canada Border Services Agency  has recently learned that persons claiming to be employed at the CBSA’s Border Information Service have been calling Canadians and requesting personal information and payment over the phone.

The CBSA BIS call centre is a free information service for general enquiries regarding CBSA procedures, programs and services. This unit is not designed  to make phone calls requesting personal information or payment over the phone.

Please immediately call the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre toll free 1-888-495-8501 should you be contacted by anyone claiming to be a CBSA officer working at the BIS.
